April 2008 focusing on ‘Putting the learner at the heart of all we do’

Michael delivered a whole day session for a consortium of over 250 teachers across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.  Michael provided activities and resources for staff dealing with promoting independent learning and implementing assessment for learning in the classroom. In addition, Michael presented strategies to develop learning conversations to help raise attainment and introduce more personalisation throughout the learning process.

Michael delivered a twilight INSET session to over 80 staff on developing teaching and learning at Key Stage 5. In particular, delegates worked in departmental teams using Michael’s material to implement a wider range of assessment for learning strategies as well as strategies to gather learner feedback.
